Pacat: I can’t choose! I love being able to write the kind of comic that I always wanted to read; I love working with Johanna and seeing her incredible artwork; I love fencing and the chance to work with a top coach on choreography. Fence is such a fun project.
Johanna: I love working with so many diverse characters! All of them have amazing and unique personalities. Seeing their interactions and perspectives is definitely one of the things I have most fun with when creating this comic.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][us_separator size=”small”][vc_column_text]Which character do you relate to the most? The least?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][us_separator size=”small”][us_image image=”11737″ size=”full” align=”center” meta=”1″ onclick=”lightbox”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][us_separator size=”small”][vc_column_text]Pacat: Seiji, because I love fencing, I’m competitive, I’m a perfectionist, and I know how it feels to be an outsider. I probably relate least to Kally, the sweet-natured, studious one. (I was much more of a rebellious Nicholas in school.)[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Johanna: The most: I guess that would be Nicholas. He has this “outsider” aura around him and I love that; it means he’s not ordinary. I personally know sometimes it’s hard to fit in, and working with a character that shows you don’t need to follow the rest or be accepted by the status quo to become someone is so gratifying.
The least: Aiden, no doubt. He’s just too confident in the looks department for me to relate to him even a little bit, let alone beat him. Pacat: Look forward to rivalries and fierce competition, some amazing twists, and burgeoning romance between teammates. There are also a few deep dark secrets still to be revealed…and of course, fencing!
Johanna: Aside from many handsome guys, there’s going to be some awesome relationships in this story. Best friends, teammates, lovers…can’t wait for everyone to see it!

He’s got a heart of gold and he’s calm in a crisis. I feel like we’d bring out each other’s best qualities (I think everyone feels that around Harvard!).
Johanna: Harvard! He’s so reliable. I’d sure be scared to death so it’d be the best to have someone like him around.
