"Cosby's Witch Hunter and Rogers Quality Time both have the virtue of breaking away from the general Lovecraft formula and creating a story that still hews true to his general tone.

Quality Time is all about the violent madness visited upon a town when an elementary school puts on a performance of The King In Yellow (which is actually a book by Robert W. Chambers - but Lovecraft was inspired by the macabre nature of the book, and incorporated bits of it in the Cthulu Mythos, so extra kudos to Rogers for knowing that).

Phineas Flynn is the strangest story in structure, as it's essentially Edgar Allan Poe meeting Edward Gorey via Dr. Seuss

"...there's nothing I like better than a good comic about insanity and big tentacled gods of madness."
